West Indies wicketkeeper Rashada Williams has been reprimanded after breaching the ICC’s Code of Conduct during the side’s group match against Ireland at the Women’s T20 World Cup.
Williams was found guilty of breaching Article 2.12 after making deliberate physical contact with Irish bowler Leah Paul following her run-out for 17 on Saturday.
The rule relates to “inappropriate physical contact” during an international match.

As punishment, the 25-year-old has been fined 15 per cent of her match fee and had one demerit point added to her otherwise clean disciplinary record.
Williams admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction handed down by the ICC Match Referee – eliminating a need for a formal hearing.
On-field umpires Eloise Sheridan and Vrinda Rathi, third umpire Lauren Agenbag and fourth umpire N Janani levelled the charge.
The West Indies won the match at Newlands by six wickets.
Meanwhile, the West Indies kept its hopes of a semi finals berth alive with a thrilling win over Pakistan.
Omaima Sohail failed to find the boundary on the last ball which would have taken the game to a super over.
The victory gives the nation a thin chance of finishing second in Group 2 after top-placed England was confirmed as the first team to progress.
The West Indies have now played all its group games and are level on points with India, but behind the nation on net run rate.
Therefore, to keep themselves in the mix, the West Indies need the winless Irish team to defeat India before waiting for the results of the final Group 2 game between England and Pakistan.
New Zealand’s 102-run win over Sri Lanka also put the side in a position to follow defending champions Australia through to the semis in Group 1.
