KEAM 2023: Kerala engg entrance results 2023 out on cee.kerala.gov.in, Sanjai Mallar tops the exam – Times of India

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala engineering entrance examination result for the year 2023 is out. Kannur native Sanjai P Mallar, Kottayam native Ashik Stenny bagged the first and second rank. Fredie George Robin, hailing from Kottayam won the third rank in the test for admission to engineering colleges in the state. Higher education minister R Bindu announced the result here on Monday.
The first and second rank holders scored 583.6440 and 575.7034 respectively out of the total 600 score. The third rank holder scored 572.7548. Chethana S J from Pathanamthitta came first in the SC category(score 441.7023 and from ST category Eden Vinu John ( score 387.5987) won the first rank.
Boys secured nine of 10 top ranks in the list. Of the 80999 candidates applied for the entrance test, 49671 have made it into the rank list of candidates eligible for admission in B. Tech courses. Among this, 24325 candidates are girls and 25 346 are boys. While 2043 students from Kerala higher secondary course figured in the list of first 5000 positions, 2790 candidates were from CBSE stream and 133 from ISCE. Among the first 1000 top scorers, the highest were from Ernakulam ( 154) and Thiruvananthapuram ( 135). The lowest number of candidates were from Idukki (7) and Wayanad ( 13). When it comes to the winners of the first 100 top ranks, boy students won 83 ranks. Ernakulam (23), Kozhikode (14)and Kollam (10) stood atop in terms of students winning the first 100 slots.
The entrance score of candidates is calculated considering the score they achieved in the entrance test as well as the marks they obtained in the qualifying examination. The test was held on May 17, in 339 centres. The pharmacy entrance result and architecture entrance results would be announced later, said the minister.
Minister Bindu said the preparations for conducting the KEAM entrance in online mode from next year onwards was complete. The seat allotment procedure would begin on July 1
