The 59-year-old Absolutely Fabulous star has always been vocal about ensuring people aren’t offended as she spoke against cancel culture.
The long-time collaborator with Harry Enfield stated she had used the word “bird” to describe a woman when Steven Graham corrected her.

She added that she calls people “babe” and “sweetheart” naturally, which she didn’t see as a problem.
“Me and you referring to ladies as birds and treacles, that’s not abusive, I don’t think.” (sic)
Danny agreed and confirmed that “it’s about intent”.
The French and Saunders actress then confirmed that she would want people to tell her if somebody was offended by her words.
Kathy then clarified why it was important to be aware: “Being woke is a very decent thing; it’s about being a decent human being.”
However, she added “it’s been sort of hijacked by w**** basically”.
Kathy confirmed that “you learn to choose your words wisely”. (sic)
Last year the celeb tweeted to her 549,600 followers: “I love being ‘woke’. It’s much nicer than being an ignorant f****** twat.”
One fan commented: “Always an important message”, to which she responded: “Now more than ever”.
Another added: “And the ‘woke’ part of the world (which is pretty big now) loves you back.”
Earlier this year, in her Channel 4 documentary series Kathy Burke: Growing Up, she encouraged young people to “be woke” and called out those using it as an insult.
Kathy said: “I think activism is a part of being young, and it’s important that the young show us what their p***** off about.
“It’s not a fad and it’s not ‘wokeism’.”
She continued: “They’re calling you ‘woke’ if you call out bad things, basically. If you’re not racist, you’re woke. If you’re not homophobic, oh, you’re woke.
“Be woke, kids. Be woke. Be wide awake and f***ing call it out.”
