This Easter, the British public was delighted when members of the Royal Family took the time to greet them outside of St George’s Chapel while they attended the traditional Easter service. The royals were a “vision” in their springtime outfits according to one fashion expert, who has explained the Royal Family’s Easter outfits in detail.
Miranda Holder is a stylist who has worked with celebrities such as singer Boy George and actress Vanessa Williams. The fashion expert has also made a name for herself talking about royal fashion on her TikTok and YouTube channel, and has recently explained in detail the outfits that members of the Royal Family wore this Easter.
In her video, Miranda said: “The Royal Family turned out in a vision of pink and blue today as they celebrated Easter Sunday at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
“The Wales’ did what the Wales’ do best, showing up perfectly colour-coordinated in a show of force and unity.
“The British Royal Family have had a turbulent few years, and this is one way in which they can show they are stronger together.”

It was the first time Princess Kate and Prince William’s son Prince Louis attended the traditional Easter service. The fashion expert said: “It was little Louis’s first Easter Sunday service and you can see him sporting his best blue shorts with a nice tie there too as is tradition for the British Royal Family boys. Charlotte and George were there too. It was their first Easter Sunday service last year.”
This celebration was also both William and Kate’s first Easter as the new Prince and Princess of Wales, which may be why Kate decided on a “bolder” colour for her outfit this year according to Miranda.
She said: “We saw Kate return to one of her very familiar silhouettes.”This time wearing an electric cobalt blue dress coat by Catherine Walker which as the queen of sustainability in the family, Kate wore this last year to the Commonwealth Day service.
“This year she gave it a sleek monochromatic makeover, with a matching clutch bag from Emil London, and a lovely pillbox hat from the British institution Lock and Coat.”
The fashion expert explained that the bright blue dress coat the Princess was wearing, was “a far bolder shade of blue than Kate wore last year, indicating a little bit of a shift in confidence, role and power.”
However, Miranda said that the “surprise of the day” was Kate’s nail polish colour, and said the bold new colour indicated a change under King Charles.
She said: “Kate’s berry red nail polish, which looks lovely but does go against the previous royal protocol of wearing nude shades only. Proof again that things are definitely relaxing under Charles’ reign.
Miranda said Charles’ looked “very dapper” in a blue polka-dot tie which matched Queen Camilla’s bright blue coat. He also wore a pale pink shirt, to which Miranda said “proving again that real men wear pink.”
