Hansal Mehta’s detective drama, The Buckingham Murders, featuring Kareena Kapoor in the lead role, had its India premiere on Friday night at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, serving as the festival’s opening film. After attending the screening, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena’s sister and a fellow actor, had nothing but praise for her.
Karisma took to her Instagram account on Saturday to share a photo with Kareena from the premiere. She captioned it, “Always your biggest cheerleader. Can’t wait for everyone to witness your outstanding performance in #TheBuckinghamMurders #JioMAMIMumbaiFilmFestival2023 #sisterlove.”
Karisma also posted a still of Kareena from the film on her Instagram Stories and added, “What a gripping and heart-wrenching film, a fabulous performance by my sister that brought me to tears, and exceptional work by every member of the cast. Loved it. Congratulations to the entire team of #TheBuckinghamMurders.”
Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, Hansal Mehta, and Kareena, The Buckingham Murders is set in London and revolves around a detective and a working mother, as she investigates a complex case.
