Jeremy Renner returns to hospital to thank staff for ‘saving my life’
Jeremy Renner, 52, has paid an emotional visit to the healthcare professionals who “saved his life” after he suffered a horror accident on New Year’s Day.
The Marvel actor recently started making his first public appearances after nearly being crushed to death by a 14,000-pound snowplough.
Now, in a heartwarming social media update, Jeremy revealed he returned over the weekend to the hospital he was taken to after the accident.
He took to Instagram to share a series of pictures alongside the staff who looked after him at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.
In view of his 20.7 million followers, the Hawkeye star captioned the first shot: “I got to revisit the amazing group of people who saved my life.”
The update comes after last week Jeremy made his first red carpet appearance since the incident as he attended the premiere of his new Disney+ series Rennervations.
Jeremy walked with a cane while holding hands with his 10-year-old daughter, Ava, while they posed for the cameras at the Los Angeles event.
The actor looked very dapper in a fitted navy blue suit, styled with a matching tie and white shirt.
Meanwhile, Ava, whom Jeremy shares with his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, matches her father in a blue dress and silver sparkling sandals.
Jeremy spent some of his time being aided by a scooter, flashing a thumbs-up to photographers as he headed down the blue carpet.
The Hollywood star admitted the premiere was the first time he’d been out of bed and away from rehab.
He told PEOPLE: “It’s intense, you know, for me, it’s a lot, but it’s a step in the direction I want to be going, right?
“And this is exactly what I want to be doing and exactly where I want my life to be right now.”
He also revealed Ava was a “big part” of the design of some of the buses on his show.
