Jack Grealish ‘due in Manchester today’ to complete record-breaking £100m City transfer
Jack Grealish is due to arrive in Manchester today to complete his Premier League-record £100million transfer to champions City, reports claim. Pep Guardiola’s side tabled the blockbuster bid for the England attacker last week but Aston Villa have since kept quiet over the proposal, despite widespread speculation the offer would be accepted.
It’s thought any final decision was set to rest with Grealish, who reported for pre-season training at Villa’s Bodymoor Heath base earlier this week.
During a signing session with some supporters at their open training, Grealish was urged to stay by a number of fans.
The Villa captain looked sheepish and did not comment as he continued to weigh up his decision over a move in the background.
However, The Mail are now reporting that Grealish will head north today to complete his move.

Yet it’s thought Grealish has now given the green light to the move as he prepares to say an emotional farewell to Villa Park.
Villa have this morning announced the signing of winger Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen for £30million.
He’s not thought to be a direct replacement for Grealish though but Villa also have their eye on a number of other potential targets.
Express Sport revealed on Saturday that Villa are expected to bid for Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell.
Tammy Abraham, James Ward-Prowse and Axel Tuanzebe of Manchester United are also targets.

Grealish’s England teammate and friend Harry Kane could yet join him at the Etihad Stadium.
Kane has not yet shown up for Tottenham training this week in a bid to force a move to City.
Tottenham rejected a £100m bid earlier in the window from the Premier League winners but the club have failed to up their offer.
Yet Kane feels Spurs should honour their gentleman’s agreement with their star striker if City pay up.
It’s not yet clear whether City have the financial muscle to facilitate moves for both players and whether a deal for Grealish could end Guardiola’s hopes of landing Kane, for now at least.
