Indiana Jones 5 plot synopsis leak? What magical artifact may mean for Harrison Ford movie

WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR INDIANA JONES 5 AHEAD. As Harrison Ford’s fifth and final outing as his archaeologist adventurer shoots in Glasgow, fans are still in the dark as to what the movie is about. Well, Indiana Jones 5 set photos have been giving us some clues, including an interesting magical artifact.

In one group of set photos, Ford was captured dressed as Indy with digital de-ageing dots on his face.

He was accompanied by Toby Jones in an unknown role, holding a mysterious object.

Rumours have been rife that Indiana Jones may have something to do with a statue connected to the Greek personification of Time, Chronos.

And according to Giant Freakin Robot’s trusted and proven sources, we’re looking at a time travel plot.

Now it’s not clear if the magical Macguffin in Indiana Jones 5 is the one seen in the set photos.

But the outlet’s insiders claim that Indy will be hunting a stone (a Chronos stone?) that will power a time machine built by the Nazis.

With this in mind, perhaps the scenes with Ford and those set in World War II aren’t flashbacks, but journeys back in time?

What we do know is that Indiana Jones 5 is mainly set in 1969 thanks to set photos featuring the New York ticker-tape parade to welcome home the Apollo 11 astronauts.

Alongside Ford, Mikkelsen and Jones, Phoebe Waller-Bridge co-stars in an unknown role.

The film also includes Boyd Holbrook and Antonio Banderas, while John Williams returns as the composer.

Additionally, both Marion star Karen Allen and Sallah actor John Rhys-Davies have played it coy about their involvement in the movie during recent interviews.

Indiana Jones 5 hits cinemas on July 28, 2022.
