A BARBIE fan has transformed a drab motorhome into a pink paradise fit for a doll.
Ballerina Ariana Dewing, 34, from California gave the worn-out vehicle a much-needed makeover.
It took Ariana and her husband Eric, 57, just four weeks to transform the 35ft long van into a Barbie dream – costing just £1600.
Dancer Ariana and her set design husband spend their days travelling across the US whilst both working.
And they now live full-time in their truly transformed motorhome – emulating the the 1993 special edition toy, Barbie’s Starlight camper.
The kitted out, real-life version includes a baby pink satin-draped sofa, unicorn bunting, and plush bubble-gum carpeting.
Ariana, who has taken to Instagram to show how her ballet training helps her recreate Barbie’s iconic high-heeled stance, shares photos and videos of her fantastic life in plastic online.
She explained: “My husband Eric has always grown up with RVs and he knew the only way to persuade me to live in one was to make it pink and glamorous.
“Being a ballerina, I just love pink aesthetics; I didn’t want a brown and boring one.
“Although I am inspired by Barbie, it was never meant to be a Barbie replica camper it just adapted into that.
“It was just a pink motorhome and a cute ballerina home, but one day when we were parked up, a four-year-old girl knocked on the door and asked me if this was the real Barbie camper.
“From there it became the Barbie RV.”
Now Ariana and Eric take the motorhome on the road and stay in RV parks all across the states.
But Ariana admits life in her Barbie palace isn’t always as glamorous as it appears.
She revealed: “We spend up to £300 a month on gas, it can be quite expensive, especially with the prices at the minute.
“It cost us around £1,600 to completely renovate as a lot of our furnishings are from Amazon – we began it during the pandemic.”
But ultimately, Ariana, Eric, and cat Gelsey are living the Barbie dream world.
