A bartender on TikTok has some controversial advice for those who wish to get better service on a night out. His video has gotten over 400,000 as people in his comment section argue if they agree with the bartender’s customer service system.
Roman is a bartender from Michigan whose recent video about tipping has divided the internet.
He often makes videos sharing his bartending tricks, but recently made a TikTok video in which he explains that he prioritises customers depending on how much they tip on their drinks.
In his video, Roman begins with a customer impersonation, which says: “Hey, how come I can’t get no service?” The bartender explains: ”Oh that’s because you haven’t tipped all night.
“What happens is that when you don’t tip, we tell the other bartenders who is not tipping so we don’t go to you.”

Roman then explained the amount of money someone tips means they will get served more quickly
He said: “Now, I am not saying you have to tip a lot. But if you tip at least ten percent we’ll come to you, you tip 20 percent or more, we’re going to make sure we get to you.
“You tip more than 50 percent I will RKO [knock out] whoever the f*** is in front of you and make sure you get served. How’s that sound?”
Some people in Roman’s video comment section were divided over his customer service advice. One person said: “That’s crazy I already paid $10 for a beer. You want an additional $5 for every beer.
Another user said: “France over there fighting for retirement and I’m being told I gotta pay for people’s wages.
However, some people agreed with Roman. A popular comment said: “I enjoy watching the bartender skip over s*** tippers and come to me because I’m also in the industry and take care of my people.”
Somebody else advised: “Tip 100 percent on your first drink and you’ll get VIP service all night.”
Roman has also made a reply video to the top comment on his video, which said the bartender’s tipping advice “sounds like extortion.”
Roman said in his reply video: “You damn well f*****g right. The more you tip the stronger that drink is going to get. You tip me 50 percent, and every single one you get is going to become a double.
“If you don’t tip? B*** make your own drinks.”
Other people left comments on the video saying they are “still not tipping” and another person said: ”You could, you know, do the job you’re being paid to do.”
However, a lot of people continued to agree with the bartender’s tipping system. One person who seemed to be another bartender commented and said: “I’m here to make money. If you haven’t tipped the last two drinks you aren’t getting served again. Call them out in front of everyone. Always fun.”
