How can organizations fortify end-to-end security for them to be Future Ready?

It is noticed that cyber attacks on organizations worldwide jumped by about 29% YoY in the first half of 2021. Nearly 1.6 million cyber attacks were reported in India in 2020, which was up nearly 3 times from 2019 and more than 20 times compared to 2016.

“The last 2 years have been the watershed years in cyber security. The pandemic continued to bring in new challenges as attackers really took advantage of the overstretched landscape to unleash new Human Operated Ransomware, Malware and Nation State Attack,” says

With the shift towards the hybrid way of working, which is the new normal of today, security professionals are finding themselves in a quandary. There are many more endpoints to predict and many more people within the organization to educate about cyber security.

A lot of changes as well as challenges have been seen in the past two years within organizations, regarding cyber security.
“Major challenge being witnessed for all the IT professionals specifically for the security professionals is how to manage the new perimeter, how to implement new solutions and how to scale up,” says
Chandan Pani, Chief Information Security Officer, Mindtree.

There are always some new trends coming up for everything and so is for the security threats. Attackers come up with new things to violate cybersecurity, following the traditional practices.
“People are concerned about ransomware, there has been a 400% increase in ransomware depending upon the country. People often pay ransom to the attacker not realizing that they still have a hold on their system’s data,” says
Phil Montgomery, General Manager, Security Product Marketing GTM, Microsoft.
