Hinduja Global Services wins 211-million-pound contract from UK Health Security Agency

Pune: Business process management firm Hinduja Global Solutions’ UK subsidiary has won a 211-million-pound (Rs 2,100 crore) contract from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to provide critical customer support to the country’s citizens.

The contract is for an initial period of two years, with an option to extend further.

The partnership will see it employ over 2,000 people, who will work from home across the UK.

The UKHSA is responsible for NHS Test & Trace and this contract will assist with future contact tracing needs for Covid-19 and other health security risks such as a large flu outbreak or a new pandemic.

The advertised cost of the contract is the maximum that can be spent, and the total could be less.

This is the company’s biggest ever public sector contract in the UK.
