Heston Blumenthal, 56, marries for the third time to Melanie Ceysson, 36

Congrats are in order for Heston Blumenthal, who has tied the knot for the third time.

The TV chef, 56, married entrepreneur Melanie Ceysson, 36, last weekend in his new wife’s native France.

The experimental cook, known for his whacky food combinations, upped sticks and moved to France in 2018 after his busy restaurant life left him feeling like a ‘hamster on a wheel’.

The Fat Duck restaurant owner married his second wife Stephanie Gouveia, who was also 20 years his junior, in 2018 in a non-religious ceremony.

Heston and Stephanie welcomed a child ‘at the end’ of 2017, making the tot five years old.

Now, following rumours the Michelin-starred chef was engaged to Melanie in January, the pair have now said ‘I do’ in a ‘short, formal ceremony’ with 60 guests, according to Heston’s representatives.

Heston said in January he had ‘found [his] other half,’ with the pair living together in France.

‘I am going to get officially married to Melanie,’ he added at the time.

And now the happy occasion has happened, with a ‘tepee for the children’ and a ‘marquee for the grown-ups’ at the reception on March 25.

Melanie stunned in a simple ivory dress and some pearl earrings, which perfectly contrasted with her silky dark locks. 

Meanwhile, Heston was pictured still donning his staple thick-rimmed glasses, as he sported a dashing emerald green corduroy suit and a crisp white shirt.

The pair looked all smiles as Melanie clutched some pink fizz, and Heston beamed while hugging her with one arm. 

The newlyweds looked to be having fun together as one picture showed Heston sinking his teeth into an edible candle, with Melanie also joining in.

Fellow TV chef Raymond Blanc attended the nuptials, which were catered with Heston’s staples like jelly of oyster and passion fruit, meat fruit, triple-cooked chips and Scotch eggs.

Raymond said: ‘Ever since Heston did an all-too-brief week in my kitchen, I’ve loved his fire and creativity. Over the years he’s helped me improve, and I hope I’ve also helped him. That’s our special bond so of course I had to be here.’

Staff and chefs were flown in to cater for the special event from Heston’s very own UK restaurants, and some guests were surprised to realise their devils on horseback were being served by former Great British Menu judge Matthew Fort.

Melanie grew up in a small village in Provence, where the wedding took place, and is also very fond of food like her celebrity chef husband.

The happy couple first locked eyes in the Alps, where Melanie was working when she was assigned to look after Heston on his skiing holiday.

Melanie apparently didn’t know who Heston was and she ‘couldn’t even pronounce his name’ when they first met.

Heston was previously married to Zanna Blumenthal for 28 years before their 2017 divorce.

Heston and Zanna, who met as teenagers, share three children together; Jack Blumenthal, 30, Joy Blumenthal, 26, and Jessie Blumenthal, 28.
