‘He promised!’ Pregnant Helen Skelton reacts as husband makes unexpected change at home

Helen Skelton, 38, took to Instagram today to share a video of what her attic now looks like, in view of her 254,000 followers. The Countryfile star was shocked to find a huge mess in her house.

Rugby player Richie, 31, told his wife that the changes would only be a “decorating job”, but Helen’s videos revealed that her husband had left a substantial trail of rubble in his wake.

The Countryfile presenter filmed herself going up the stairs, which were stripped of carpet and covered in dirt.

“He promised this would be merely a decorating job…” she wrote.

As Helen continued to ascend the stairs to the tune House of Fun by Madness, she revealed that one room was completely covered in rubble and splints of wood.

“Yet here we are @richiemyler,” she concluded, as she entered the next room.

In the second video, Richie could be seen in a protective suit hacking away at some of the wooden slats from what appeared to be their roof.

Richie was caught wide-eyed, hammer in hand, as he turned around to see the camera.

Helen confirmed she was pregnant with their third child back in September, when she shared an adorable picture with her two sons touching her belly on her Instagram.

However, she also shared that her husband Richie, 31, was keeping his fingers crossed that their Christmas wouldn’t be cut short, as both of their children had arrived early.

Helen also revealed that the traumatic birth of her second child had made her third and “final” pregnancy more difficult.

The star gave birth to her son Louis all alone in France, with only her eldest child Ernie for company, as Richie was in England at the time.

In a terrifying turn of events, a team of medical professionals couldn’t make it to her on time, which meant that she had to give birth on the kitchen floor surrounded by firemen.
