Halo Infinite’s Winter Update Brings New Maps, Game Modes and More

New Information about Halo Infinite’s Winter Update has just surfaced online, and it is supposed to be the largest feature update for the title to date. Halo Infinite’s Winter Update arrives on November 8, 2022, and it will bring some much-awaited features and content for the entire game which include Campaign Network Co-Op, the Forge Beta, and a free 30-tier battle pass. This article will share details about the two new maps and game modes that have been introduced along with the other features.

Argyle: Map

Argyle is the latest map that has been introduced in the game and it is set within the narrow corridors of a UNSC vessel. Argyle is one of the first multiplayer maps that has entirely been built in the Forge for Halo Infinite. It is a compact map, set in an indoor area, with symmetrical environments. This will make for a perfect competitive arena while showcasing the capabilities of The Forge.

Detachment: Map

Detachment is the second map that is being introduced in Halo Infinite’s Winter Update. Similar to Argyle, this map has also entirely been built within the Forge. Detachment has been introduced as an all-new symmetrical arena map in the game. The environment includes rocky outcropping and an abandoned UNSC research facility with indoor and outdoor environments. This map will help players take advantage of various game modes and playstyles.

Covert One Flag: Game Mode

Covert One Flag is considered to be a variant of the One Flag CTF mode in Halo Infinite. This is a round based game mode and according to the rounds, the attackers and defenders will be switched to capture one flag. Asymmetric Team Loadouts will help the attackers stealthily go for the map and the Threat Sensors will aid the defenders to detect approaching enemies. The team that has won most rounds, wins the match. Check out all the maps and the new game mode in the preview video embedded below:
