Gwyneth Paltrow has wished her daughter Apple a happy birthday with a rare snap of her firstborn.
Apple, who is the eldest child of Gwyneth and ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, celebrated her 18th birthday this week.
Mum Gwyneth marked the occasion by sharing a photograph of her daughter, a rare move for the woman who prefers to keep her family life private.
She also wrote an emotional message where she admitted she was at ‘a loss for words’ that her daughter was now an adult.
Taking to Instagram, Gwyneth shared a gorgeous snap of Apple, looking like a clone of her famous mum, as she posed in a white dress while looking in the mirror.
She wrote: ’18. I’m a bit of a loss for words this morning (????).
‘I could not be more proud of the woman you are. You are everything I could have dreamed of and so much more.
‘Proud doesn’t cover it, my heart swells with feelings I can’t put in to words.’
The Goop businesswoman and proud mum described her daughter as ‘deeply extraordinary in every way,’ adding: ‘Happy birthday my darling girl.’
‘I hope you know how special you are, and how much light you have brought to all who are lucky enough to know you. Especially me. I say it all the time and I will never stop.’
She finished the sweet post with the words: ‘I was born the day you were born. I love you.’
Iron Man actress Gwyneth shares two children, Apple and 15-year-old son Moses, with singer Chris; the pair split in 2016.
They welcomed Apple in 2004, before adding to their two years later with son Moses.
