It’s the penultimate episode in Gordan Ramsay’s intense search for the next ‘future food star’. At the end of his show, the TV chef will invest a huge sum of money in one winner’s food or drinks business that will turn a small entrepreneur’s dream into reality.
Gordon Ramsay is by far one of the most recognisable TV chefs out there so it would be shocking if you haven’t heard of him. He is best known for his shows such as Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef and Kitchen Nightmares or more specifically, for his iconic and usually angered filled moments on these shows, which have embedded themselves in pop culture.
The Michelin starred chef, 55, owns a restaurant empire which he has expanded rapidly overseas with fine dining spaces in all corners of the world. However, being in the spotlight hasn’t always been plain sailing as the chef has been involved in a few quarrels with famous celebrities in his time.

Gordon Ramsay was previously in a feud with fellow TV chef Jamie Oliver. The somewhat jokey ‘feud’ reportedly goes back to a comment made by Gordon in 2009 when he compared Australian journalist Tracy Grimshaw’s appearance to that of a pig.
Defending the journalist Jamie told The Sun: “Aussies aren’t forgiving. Once you’re gone, you’re gone. It’s never good to criticise a woman, especially when they’re loved by their country and you do it on national television.”
Not one to lie down or cower from a spat Gordon called Jamie a “one-pot wonder” and said the last time he had been forced to complain about a meal it was at one of the Essex chef’s restaurants.
The Naked Chef then reportedly said that he thought Gordon’s wife Tana’s cookbook was better than the Hell’s Kitchen presenter’s book. In 2017, Gordon also wrote a mock-apology letter to Jamie where he said sorry for criticising his weight.
“The last thing I want to do is look at your cute face and think: blubber, blubber, blubber,” he wrote. Trying to distance himself from the ongoing ‘tensions’ Jamie ended up getting himself into more hot water.
Jamie said: “He’s got four kids and I’ve got five kids and I don’t want to be slagging off some kids’ dad on telly. It’s not nice.”
For Jamie enough was enough and he was determined to draw a line under the matter. “Good luck to him. But we have both got kids, and I don’t know what sort of example we’re setting if we’re arguing like we’re in the playground,” he commented.
In 2019 it appears the hatchet between the pair was finally buried when Gordon appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show and expressed his sympathies for Jamie after the collapse of his restaurant chain.
Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars airs tonight (May 16) on BBC One at 11:25pm.
