A Glastonbury worker has become the second person to die at the festival, it has been reported.
The man, who was said to be in his 40s, was found dead in his tent on Tuesday afternoon during the festival clean up.
Police arrived at The Park area of the Worthy Farm festival at around 2.20pm, but the man was unresponsive.
He could not be saved, and was declared dead at the scene shortly after.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed to The Sun that the man was a member of the festival’s crew.
They added: ‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.’
From a weekend attended by over 200,000 people, this was the second death reported.
Although emergency services made efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Avon and Somerset Police told Metro.co.uk: ‘Shortly before 4am today emergency services responded to medical incident involving a man in his 40s at Glastonbury Festival.
‘The incident happened on a footpath known as the old railway line.
‘Sadly, the man died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.’
They added: ‘The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coroner.’
Deaths are rare at the festival, which has been going since 1970.
In 2016, a man died after he caught on fire at Glastonbury.
He was airlifted to hospital and later died from his injuries.
Metro.co.uk has contacted Avon and Somerset Police for further comment.
