The long-term couple made their home in Saudi Arabia after the sportsman left Manchester United to play for Al-Nassr ahead of the World Cup.
Rumours of a potential split between the pair circulated in the Spanish press with outlets reporting Cristiano was ‘fed up’ with his girlfriend Georgina.
The duo are parents to two children which they share together and Georgina is an active step-mother to the star’s other children.
Speculation was fueled after a Spanish Tik Toker named Abel Planelles shared news the famous couple had recently had a huge argument before taking off on the legendary footballer’s private jet.
According to the claims, the disagreement happened in the presence of several other people and left Georgina in a state where she refused to speak with any of the plane’s staff.
The rumours further suggested she shut out her partner for the journey and would not communicate with him after their row.
However, despite chatter their relationship was on the rocks, Georgina slammed reporters and called out the media for untrue claims on her Instagram Story.
Usually one to stay above such rumours and rarely ever making comments on things, the mother posted a snap of the starry night sky and pasted the lyrics from the song If I Die by American singer Romeo Santos over the top.
The words written in Spanish read: ‘The envious invents the rumour, the gossip spreads and the idiot believes it,’ which many took to be her response to the speculation about the state of her romantic life.
Georgina and Cristiano announced they were expecting twins with the WAG giving birth on April 18, 2022.
The couple later announced that one of the two babies had tragically died shortly after the expectant parents welcomed them into the world.
They addressed the sad news in a statement that read at the time: ‘It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.
‘It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
‘Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
‘Baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.’
