Fortnite fans are counting down to the release of the first major update of the new season. Fortnite update 25.10 has been given a June 20 release date on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android. As a major update, the new patch will launch alongside a period of server downtime, which starts at 8am BST UK time. It’s worth noting that matchmaking will be disabled at around 7.30am, so login early if you want to enjoy a few games before downtime. The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside a preview of what fans can expect.
“Mudslide your way into v25.10!” reads an Epic tweet. “Downtime begins at 3 AM with matchmaking disabled shortly beforehand.
“Please note with this update we will be resetting players ranks for Ranked Season Zero. See our previous Ranked Update blog here for more details.”
Based on previous updates, players can expect the maintenance period to come to an end at around 10am BST.
As you can see from the tweet above, Epic Games will use update 25.10 to reset ranked play for Season Zero.
Elsewhere, Epic Games is also planning to remove the Daily Login Rewards from Save the World as part of the new update.
According to Fortnite insiders like Hypex, the rewards will be available from other sources, including Daily Quests and Mission Alerts.
Elsewhere, Epic Games is expected to launch a new collaboration with Nike Airphoria.
The Nike crossover will reportedly include new skins, cosmetics, and exclusive rewards for Swoosh members.
Nike and Epic Games have also built an “immersive, and first-of-it’s-kind Air Max themed experience” within the game.
Needless to say, Epic Games will use the update to introduce additional skins and items to the game, such as Shockwave Grenades in Zero Build and the July Crew Pack.
Finally, expect some of the early season bugs to be ironed out as part of the update. You can see the early Fortnite update 25.10 patch notes below.
