Fortnite fans are eagerly waiting for the arrival of Creative 2.0, which is all set to be something that will not revolutionize Fortnite, but gaming as a whole as well.

The new Creative mode for Fortnite was announced back in 2020, during Unreal’s Year in Review event. Back then, it managed to garner a lot of attention, after what Epic revealed about it. It was stated the new Creative would give players access to “the same tools that [the game’s] developers actually use to put the game itself together.” While we have seen a lot of sandbox games coming close to that experience, Epic Games seems to be working on revolutionizing it all together.

Many have been waiting for an official announcement about the release date, and today Tim Sweeney has revealed that the project is still on track for this year. However, he goes on to add that it is still not coming soon. What this basically means is that we will probably get a release in the last quarter of the year, considering the fact that we are about to enter the third quarter already.

Fans have already started speculating the release date of the new Creative mode, and there are some quite plausible predictions. Many believe that Creative 2.0 will be released on the fourth anniversary of the original Creative mode, which does make a lot of sense. For the uninitiated, Creative Mode debuted in the game on December 6th, 2018. If we are looking at a December release, it falls in line with what Tim said, so these claims are not too far-fetched.
