Flora Vesterberg paid tribute to Princess Alexandra at her wedding

Flora and Timothy Vesterberg originally exchanged vows in September 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, in what was a private ceremony in the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace. During the couple’s initial vow exchange in 2020, Flora wore a straightforward white dress made by Emilia Wickstead, much more simple than her Phillipa Lepley gown the year after.

The granddaughter of Princess Alexandra was finally able to publically wear a big, beautiful white dress and exchange vows the following year in front of a large group of people.

On September 10, 2021, Flora walked down the aisle at St James’s Church and Palace in London to marry her Swedish financier husband in a public ceremony.

Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy was in attendance, as were Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

The young royal wore a beautiful Phillipa Lepley wedding dress, which was not that different from Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen bridal gown in 2011.

Similarly to Kate’s, Flora’s wedding dress had a deep V-neck, lengthy sleeves made out of lace, and a straight-cut skirt.

The white gown was also accompanied by a long sheer veil that was attached to a tiara, much like the Princess of Wales’s bridal look.

Flora’s wedding veil had white flowers embroidered into the fabric to match the pattern on the sheer lace sleeves.

The young royal opted for a tight bodice just like Kate’s wedding dress, however, a key difference was that Flora chose a sweetheart-shaped neckline to accompany her V-neck.

In contrast, Kate’s lace neckline formed a straight “V” shape to create a classic, elegant look.

Flora’s dress, which was fitted at the waist, loosened up somewhat before falling to her feet.

The late Queen’s cousin, Princess Alexandra, wore the same pearl and diamond tiara as Flora to wed Angus Ogilvy in 1963.

This was a touching tribute from Flora to wear the same tiara as her grandmother for her wedding.

The silver tiara had a beautiful design, with diamond ribbons dangling from lots of diamond flowers.

Flora chose to wear the tiara at her wedding as a nice gesture to her grandmother and to honour their relationship.

Alexandra has worn the tiara numerous times throughout her life.

Flora accessorised the tiara with a set of teardrop-shaped pearl and diamond earrings, which stood out against the royal’s half-up, half-down-styled dark blonde hair.

In 2019, Flora and Timothy announced their engagement with an Instagram photo taken by her father, James Ogilvy, who is a photographer.

As Flora and Timothy smiled for the camera in front of a forest-like backdrop, fans could make out the bride-to-be’s diamond engagement ring on her left hand.

The ring looked silver and simple with one small stone, as opposed to the more popular three-stone rings worn by Meghan Markle and Princess Beatrice.

She informed her 8,000 social media fans while donning a dress with a lavender and white design: “We’re engaged! My beloved Timothy asked me to marry him and we’re blissfully happy.”
