Final Fantasy 16 demo release date – FF16 demo and FF7 Rebirth for Summer Fest

With the Final Fantasy 16 release date just a few weeks away, there’s a strong chance that the demo will launch following today’s Summer Game Fest event. Square Enix previously said the FF16 demo would drop a few weeks ahead of its June 22 launch, so don’t be surprised if it launches today. At the very least, Square Enix could use the Summer Game Fest to announce the demo release date, so stay tuned for more information. The demo will give players the opportunity to control lead character Clive during his younger days.

The game is described as an “epic dark fantasy” where the fate of the land and its people are decided by the “mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them”.

Square Enix reveals more: “This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a warrior granted the title ‘First Shield of Rosaria’ and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Phoenix.

“Before long, Clive will be caught up in a great tragedy and swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity in its wake.”

Speaking of Final Fantasy, Square Enix has confirmed that new details about FF7 Rebirth will be revealed soon.

In a post on Twitter, creative director Tetsuya Nomura answered the following question: “When can I find out more about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?”

Nomura responded with: “More information will be revealed soon.”

Needless to say, fans are speculating that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will also make an appearance during the Summer Game Fest event, which takes place at 8pm BST UK time on June 8.
