Manasovska mentioned that Google Lens uses Machine Learning which they like to call as models which are trained by her team to identify characters and structure in images. The machine learning model in Google Lens has the ability to teach itself to distinguish text structures just like a human would.
Also, the machine learning model in Google Lens is trained to recognse 30 scrips, including Cyrillic, Devanagari, Chinese and Arabic. Manasovska has mentioned that the model is most accurate with Latin-alphabet languages at the moment
The entire programming for the app has been done on C++ as it allows developers to run processing steps needed.
