A HUGE waterpark in Europe the size of five football pitches has opened a new ride this year.

The 32,600sqm land has 14 themed zones based on Nordic legends including Rangnakor.

Inside are 50 slides and attractions, as well as a wave pool and two swim up bars.

Even better, most of it is indoors – and stays at a balmy 32C, so it’s ideal even if it’s bad weather outside.

There are more than 1,700 sunloungers too, so don’t worry about not being able to find a spot.

And if the weather is good, there is an outdoor area with hundreds of sun loungers and a heated pool.

Earlier this year, the waterpark launched a brand new ride, Vikingløp RallyRACER.

The eight-lane ride lets guests race down the enclosed flumes, with curved tracks letting people go head to head.

The new ride joins other popular slides including Dugdrob and Vildfål, which send riders on adrenaline-inducing freefall drops.

Other experiences include evening DJ sets as well as private relaxation booths and saunas.

You don’t even need to make it a day trip as you can stay on-site.

Rooms at the Krønasår, a four-star hotel, start from as little as £100 a night.

It comes with some extra perks too – guests staying at the Krønasår can enter Rulantica an hour earlier than the water park’s regular 10.00am opening time.

With the park open until 10pm, this gives you a whopping 12 hours to explore.

Otherwise day tickets start from €41 although you can get discounted options if visiting later in the day.

It’s easy to get to – it’s an hour’s drive from Basel Airport or two hours from Stuttgart Airport.

Former visitors have praised the attraction on TripAdvisor.

One wrote: “One of the best water parks you’ll find anywhere.”

Someone else said: “The best indoor water park we have experienced. Beautifully themed and kept at a very nice warm temperature despite it being low freezing inside. It was extra magical at night.”

Here are the biggest waterparks in the UK you can visit this summer.

And a “next generation” £250million water attraction in the UK will offer Brits 25 pools, 35 water slides, indoor pool and spa.
