Actor and musician Dominic Fike revealed that he was almost “kicked off” of “Euphoria” for being on drugs while filming.
The 27-year-old admitted to “doing scenes high” in an interview for Apple Music.
When asked about being on drugs while filming the hit HBO show, Fike confessed, “Oh my God, yeah dude.
“I was so f – – ked up doing a lot of that show,” he said. “It was really bad. I was reprimanded for it.”
He admitted that he “almost got kicked off the show.”
The rising star said he was pulled aside by the show’s creator Sam Levinson, who told him he couldn’t “be doing this” while filming on set.
Fike said that it was “difficult” to be a “drug addict coming onto a show about drugs.”
Fike shared that Levinson hired a sober coach to help him through filming, but admitted that it “did not work.”
Representatives for Fike did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
“Euphoria” has received criticism from some claiming that the show romanticizes drug use, but those connected to the show have adamantly rejected those claims.
Levinson has been under heavy scrutiny lately for his other HBO series “The Idol.”
The show has been accused of “the worst sex scene in history” and been marred by “rape fantasy” accusations and trashed by critics.
“The Idol” was cut short, releasing just five episodes despite having originally been listed as a six-episode season.
