The actor recently made his anticipated return to our screens in Holby City, playing the dad of a teenage boy with a heart problem.

He said: “It brought back amazing memories because EastEnders was an amazing time in my career. It really established me.
“EastEnders back then was massive. We didn’t have Netflix and the viewing figures were through the roof.”
“It was lovely to be part of Holby and I feel sad for them that it’s coming to an end [later this year].
“I had some great friends who were in it back in the day, like Lisa Faulkner and Angela Griffin, and we used to sing in the bar after work.”
