Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Movie Might Give Piccolo A New Form

The new Dragon Ball movie has been one of the most anticipated ones and the hype has been magnified due to the success of their Broly movie. The production house of the movie went through a cyber attack which resulted in a lot of their projects getting delayed. Luckily, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero managed to scrape through this issue and is on track to it’s summer release date, learn more about the delay here.

As seen in the trailer, it seems like Gohan and Piccolo will be taking up the spotlight in the upcoming movie title. It seems like Gohan has been undergoing some training under the mentorship of Piccolo as his new ensemble is very similar to that of the Namekian. Along with that it is Pan, Gohan’s daughter who has been kidnapped in the movie and it seems the plot will revolve around the working of the Red Ribbon Army with Gohan and Piccolo trying to dismantle their operation.

Now, as the promotions for the movie go on, new posters have come out for Gohan and Piccolo in the movie. In the posters, Gohan and Piccolo look like they wearing the same uniform, with just a different colour. Piccolo is in his beloved purple coloured uniform and Gohan is wearing a blue uniform with similar aesthetics.

It seems like Gohan will be using his Potential Unleashed form which he received from the Elder Kai in the Buu Saga. Piccolo’s poster is something that has gathered the most attention between the two, as it seems like the Namekian has gone some rigorous training to achieve an all new form to rival the likes of the Saiyans.

One of the obvious changes that fans have been able to point out is the change in color of Piccolo’s skin, it has turned into a yellowish tinted green from pure green. Another thing that has been noticed is that the striped bulges that represented the muscles of Piccolo have now disappeared and the character has much smoother arms. The stripes are still present on his shoulders. Check out the twitter post below:

It’ll be fun to see what this new transformation will entail for Piccolo, fans will just have to wait for the movie to release to understand it better, as the producers have been particularly reserved about the information they shared. The Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie released in Japan on the 11th of June 2022, and it should be out globally in the Fall of 2022.
