Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Trailer Confirms the Arrival of Two Blockbuster Variants
Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness received another meaty trailer during the recently concluded Super Bowl Sunday.
While the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams fought hard against each other on the field, the trailer showcased Benedict Cumberbatch facing new threats from the multiverse.
The movie showed some exciting additions to the MCU, along with the return of former allies. From the returning Scarlet Witch and Mordo, to crazy cameos like Patrick Stewart as Professor X, it seems like Marvel are bringing out the big guns for the Sam Raimi-helmed project.
Other than that, the new trailer and the poster for the movie has also confirmed the arrival of two new variants.
In the trailer for the Doctor Strange sequel, fans received a glimpse of a mysterious character, who was trying to fend off the Scarlet Witch. The character glowed a lot, and many fans thought it would be none other than Carol Danvers.
However, the character didn’t have any resemblance to Brie Larson, and instead, the rumors of a variant Captain Marvel has popped up, and it looks like in another universe, the mantle has been taken up by Monica Rambeau.
While on one hand, it seems like the Scarlet Witch will have her hands full with Rambeau, the poster for the movie also showcased a small part of a shield with the Union Jack, which seemingly confirms the arrival of Captain Carter in the Doctor Strange sequel.

Peggy Carter has appeared in numerous MCU projects while playing as a love interest to Steve Rogers. However, in Marvel’s Disney+ animated TV show, What If…? the character’s variant took the mantle of Captain Carter, when she received the Super Soldier Serum instead of Rogers.
While Hayley Atwell reprised her role in the animated world as the voice actor, it looks like her role in the live-action MCU world isn’t done yet, and Marvel fans should definitely have a lot of excitement over her return.
