Diablo 4 server slam release time, dates, character classes, bosses and more
Diablo 4 fans are counting down to the big Server Slam event taking place this weekend. Billed as the final chance to play Diablo 4 ahead of launch, this weekend’s Server Slam has a May 12 release date on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Barring any last minute delays, the Server Slam will kick off at 8pm BST UK time. Essentially an open beta available with or without a pre-order, the Server Slam ends at 8pm BST on May 14.
If you want to jump into the action as soon as the servers go live, then the good news is that you can pre-load the Server Slam ahead of launch. Download instructions for each platform can be found below.
If you’ve still got the recently released Diablo 4 beta installed, you’ll need to download and install an update. It’s also worth noting that any previous progress will be reset.
While the final game will require PS Plus and Xbox Gold to play online, no such requirements are needed for the Server Slam weekend. This means anybody and everybody can give it a go.
According to Blizzard, Server Slam players will be able to reach a maximum level of 20 during the course of the weekend.
Fans will be able to play through the game’s prologue, as well as the entirety of Act I. Likewise, the entire Fractured Peaks region will be accessible as part of Server Slam.
Blizzard is also giving players the ability to try all five classes, including the Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue and Sorcerer.
In addition to main quests and side content, players can team up to battle the hard-as-nails boss character Ashava, who will spawn every three hours beginning at 5pm BST on May 13.
The Server Slam version of Diablo 4 also has all of the bug fixes and gameplay tweaks made after the beta, as well as an adjusted Legendary Item drop rate.
