As one half of Britain’s favourite comedy duo, Declan Donnelly needs no introduction to British TV Fans. The I’m A Celeb and Saturday Night Takeaway host, 46, first rose to fame after starring in Byker Grove.
Now a household name, the TV star is happily married and a proud dad-of-one. His road to love has been far from smooth sailing, though. From being linked to a Pussycat Doll to dating a famous actress, his relationship past is far from boring.

Dec’s first romance in the public eye was Grange Hill actress and childhood sweetheart Clare Buckfield, with the pair meeting when they were teenagers. The couple split in 2003, with Dec blaming their busy schedules for the demise of their relationship, Hello! Magazine reported.
After their split, Dec was linked to stars including TV presenter Sarah Cawood and Sky presenter Diana Stewart, but his next high-profile relationship wasn’t until 2009 when he met Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson.
After a whirlwind romance, the pair called it quits after spending two years together. Speaking after the breakup, Georgie said it had been painful but that Dec “wasn’t ready” to settle down.

The Geordie star was also linked to Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts following her appearance in the I’m a Celebrity jungle in 2012. Dec made no secret of his crush on the Pussycat Dolls star, and they were close for a while after the show, with Ashley saying of their romance: “We’re trying to keep it out of the public eye. We’re just getting to know each other.”
In 2013, Dec found love with his manager of ten years, Ali Astall. Ali was the manager of comedy duo Ant and Dec for more than a decade before the pair became romantically involved.

He previously said they had always been close but had been reluctant to start a relationship because of work, and admitted they used to go out for Valentine’s Day meals together when they were both single.
Dec popped the question in November 2014 after just a year of dating, and they married the following August, with double act partner Ant as his best man. They are now parents to Isla, who was born in September 2018.
