Don’t mess with her friends.
Courteney Cox has given fans another reason to laugh, after posting a hilarious clapback to Kanye West’s declaration that he doesn’t think “Friends” was funny.
Cox, 58, who starred as Monica Geller in the hit sitcom, responded to the 45-year-old rapper the only way she knows how — in an Instagram post that cheekily pokes fun at him.
West’s initial message, which has since been deleted, claimed he didn’t write many of his past viral tweets, including one from two years ago in which he said he didn’t find “Friends” amusing — though, now in hindsight, he “wishes” he had penned that one.
In response, Cox posted a clip showing herself dancing to West’s 2008 hit “Heartless” while she scrolls on Instagram, pausing when she see’s his post.
West’s deleted caption read, “I actually didn’t write the tweet that said ‘Friends wasn’t funny either’ but I wish I had. I’d love to know who thought of that.”
As the camera zooms in on the “Friends wasn’t funny” sentence, Cox furiously switches off her speaker and puts her phone down before walking away.
She captioned her clap back, “I bet the old Kayne thought Friends was funny.”
The clip has been viewed over 4.6 million times, with thousands of people commenting on Cox’s masterpiece.
“I love Friends as much as Kanye loves Kanye,” director Murray Cummings wrote.
“This is incredible,” magician Amy Wager laughed.
“How can you not love Friends???” questioned another.
