You might have noticed a change to your Costa Coffee Club app.

The loyalty scheme is getting a reboot, following the new ‘treat drop’ feature that launched yesterday.

Personalised discounts or free drinks will be added to people’s accounts.

Then for a week beginning July 31, until August 6, those freebies can be claimed in store.

As for what the discounts are, they’re unique to each customer – so everyone will have something different to claim.

All you need to do is log into the app to see what’s waiting for you.

A Costa Coffee spokesperson said some of the freebies and discounted products include drinks from the Refreshers range, salads and Salted Caramel Popcorn Brownies.

Treat drop will run once a month going forward, with treats claimable for a week – so don’t worry if you missed this one, it’s worth still signing up for the next round.

All the other perks from the scheme, like free cake on your birthday, are still running.

However, one change is coming to the scheme that you might not like – currently you get a free drink after buying eight, but from August that will change to buying 10 before your perk arrives.

You can download the Costa Coffee app for free on to your iPhone or Android.
