‘Confident and sociable’: Prince George body language ‘more independent’ in birthday snap

Today, a new picture was shared where he appeared to be near the home of the royals.

The snap of George was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge who is known for having a love of photography.

The future King smiled at the camera while wearing a navy and orange striped polo shirt.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, body language expert Judi James highlighted the sense of “fun” in the picture.

She said: “There’s still an emphasis on casual fun and freedom in this new birthday portrait, just as there has been in George’s previous birthday photos.

“His clothing is casual, with the striped polo shirt, and he sits in front of what looks like a vast field, posing on what seems to be a car boot, suggesting a picnic or other outing.”

The photograph was taken in Norfolk earlier this month.

The Cambridges often stay at their Norfolk home Anmer Hall.

The expert added: “That shorter, neater and very adult haircut is only one sign of the more grown-up version of George that we are shown in this photo.

“The sense of fun is still there in that wide smile but the way he leans out towards the camera with a raised chin, and his conversational expression, suggests much higher levels of confidence and sociability.

“His head-tilt suggests a desire to listen as well as speak.

“And, with his shyness signals diminished, he is also beginning to look more independent.”
