Co-op is selling gravy puffs and they are perfect for the festive season

Co-op crisps are some of the most elite snacks around (we’re looking at you sea salt and Chardonnay vinegar flavour).

But the supermarket has just released a new twist on a classic that’s perfect for the festive season.

Gravy puffs are the latest offering from the retailer – and they are essentially gravy-flavoured Wotsits.

New for 2021, the light and moreish bites have been described by Co-op as ‘light maize crisps, that will really satisfy those who love gravy on their Christmas dinner.’

Serial snackers can pick up a share-bag in stores for £1 – so they’re not only pleasing on the tongue but on our bank balances, too.

What’s more, they are bound to go down a treat during the Christmas period as they’re also vegan – so can be enjoyed by everyone at festive gatherings.

Other Christmas-themed nibbles from the supermarket include both hog roast and pigs in blankets crisps.

But Co-op isn’t the only brand laying on goodies for party season.

Aldi has unveiled chocolate bar-inspired liqueurs as well as espresso martini cheese – which some people are unsure about.

Pizza Express is also going all out this year with a new five-course tasting menu, as it brings back some old favourites alongside brand new topping combinations.

On a similar note, KFC has announced the Christmas gravy burger is returning for 2021 – after making its debut last year. As the name suggests, the burger comes with a mini chicken fillet coated in the classic KFC spice blend, melted cheese and a hash brown shaped to hold gravy.

So there are lots of yuletide-themed treats to feast on over the coming weeks.
