Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans, 55, was left apologising profusely to his wife Natasha Shishmanian after one of her secrets got spilled during an on air conversation with his co-star Vassos Alexander. Chris was discussing his other half’s target time for the London Marathon, which she has been keeping under wraps from everyone apart from those in their immediate family.
Turning to Vassos, who is an endurance runner, Chris admitted: “By the way Vassos, I don’t know at which point we begin to talk about Tash’s target time for the London Marathon.”
“Oh go on,” the sports journalist replied, intrigued by his co-host’s comment.
“Well, I don’t know when we can talk about it,” Chris insisted.
“Let’s talk about it now,” Vassos exclaimed.

However, Chris was keen to keep Tash’s secret, replying: “No, I don’t think I can.
“No, I know I can’t because I don’t have permission, it’s a whole different ball game this time round and you, basically, are her inspiration.
“You can guess why,” the presenter added.
Vassos went on to guess that Tash was hoping to run a sub-3 marathon, which he had achieved previously.
“I said you’re her inspiration,” Chris chimed.
“And then you said, ‘you can guess why’ and I did guess why,” Vassos explained.
Detailing his concerns about how Tash will interpret the conversation, Chris said: “Oh, because it’s not sub-3 and now she’s going to be disappointed that that’s not her target.”
“Sub-3:30?” Vassos suggested, trying to guess Tash’s goal once again.
“Stop it! Just stop it, because she’s working really hard and now you’ve said sub-3 she’s going to think, ‘Oh…’” Chris sighed.
“No she won’t!” Vassos replied, attempting to reassure Chris.
“Yes she will!” Chris insisted.
“No she won’t,” Vassos argued back.
Chris then made his co-stars laugh as he quipped: “Hang on a minute, who’s married to her? Last time I checked! You or I?”
Chris went on to take the opportunity to say sorry to Tash for discussing her marathon goals on air.
He sheepishly said before playing a song: “Sorry sweetheart, I shouldn’t have said anything. I really apologise for that, sincerely.”
