Choo Choo Charles is a Horrifying Indie Game About a Haunted Spider Train

Over the last ten years, Day of the Devs has been one of the core pillars in the games industry at spotlighting exciting new and upcoming indie titles.

As it celebrates its tenth anniversary during this year’s Summer Game Fest, the Double Fine and iam8bit-fronted showcase is at it again, with one of the games in the spotlight the horrifying Choo Choo Charles…

First revealed in October last year, Choo Choo Charles is an open-world horror game developed and published by Two Star Games.

Simply stating “Charles is a bloodthirsty train, and you need to destroy him“, it’s your job to explore a vast island on your slightly less terrifying train while avoiding the predatory train that is persuing you.

As you explore the island, you will meet locals and complete missions for them, loot different areas and upgrade your train with powerful weaponry to help you confront your spider-limbed adversary.

While you are free to leave your locomotive, Choo Choo Charles is constantly on the prowl, looking for its next meal and you will need to try to avoid it at all costs. But Charles isn’t the only threat you’ll face.

Spread across the island are groups of terrifying cultists who will also add an extra notch of danger to your already perilous mission.

The title is, without doubt, the most horrifying revealed during the Day of the Devs stream and is undoubtedly going to set the pulses racing. We’ll be keeping an eye on it, for sure!

Choo Choo Charles is scheduled for release on Steam at some point in 2022 and you can wishlist it right now.
