Carol Vorderman, 60, shares bizarre career revelation as she showcases ageless beauty

Carol Vorderman is no stranger to leaving her social media followers speechless with her collection of sultry social media posts. Now, the broadcaster has revealed that before finding fame on Countdown, she would often work the “graveyard shift”.

The presenter, 60, found fame on Countdown back in 1982 alongside Richard Whiteley.

Over the course of her time on the popular Channel 4 show, Carol appeared in almost 5,000 episodes before walking away in July 2005.

Carol landed her role on Countdown after her mum Edwina Rizzi applied on her behalf after hearing that they were looking for a mathematician to join the show.

Now, the former Loose Women panellist has reflected on her days before becoming a household favourite.

Speaking on her BBC Radio Wales programme earlier today, Carol opened up about her days working overnights at a local factory in North Wales.

While praising those who work overnights in various, Carol explained: “Over one summer, I worked in a frozen pea factory.”

After being quizzed on her role in the factory, the mum-of-two went on to add: “I was ‘pea supervisor’ actually but I found working nights really, really hard.

“I don’t know what the percentage of difficulty is compared to if you’re working the same job during the day.”

Making light of the situation, Carol’s co-star Nathan Sussex joked: “How do you manage when it goes back an hour and you’re on Carol time so you’re like two hours behind us?”

“Oh I don’t know, all I know is I’m very, very happy at all times, you know what I’m like, I float about all the time like ‘Oh life is great’,” she responded through laughter.

Just before her programme, Carol admitted that she was “running” to the BBC studios in Cardiff from her home.

Showcasing her ageless figure, Carol posed up a storm on her Instagram Stories.

The brunette beauty ensured all eyes would be on her as she slipped into a pair of black skinny jeans, paired with a black top with pattered arms.

Her brunette locks were styled into loose natural waves, cascading over her shoulder before resting on her bulging bosom.

The presenter flashed a cheeky smile at the camera as she rested her hand on her perky behind.

Captioning her post, she penned:” Running out of the door to work. @BBCRadioWales 11.30 – 2pm.”
