Carol Kirkwood, 59, has taken to social media to reassure her fans she’s going nowhere on BBC Breakfast. This comes after the weather presenter recently bid an emotional farewell to her co-star Louise Minchin.
Carol has been fronting the weather on BBC Breakfast since 1998.
The star is often dubbed the “queen of weather” thanks to her longevity on the morning news show.
However, the presenter has recently had to address rumours she could be leaving Breakfast.
This came after a viewer sent her a concerned message amid her sharing an update about her day off.

Carol tweeted last week: “On a day off, there is something so promising about being up at this time of the morning… with the whole day ahead…”
In response, one concerned fan named Lyn wrote: “Carol are you really leaving BBC or is it a vicious rumour. Enjoy your day off x.”
However, Carol was quick to reassure her fan she was there to stay.
“Not true at all Lyn xx,” she penned back.
This comes after Carol recently bid an emotional farewell to her co-star Louise last week.
On Wednesday’s show, the presenter admitted it was her last show with the BBC Breakfast host.
Louise is set to leave the show after almost 20 years on September 15.
Appearing on the show, she said: “This is the last time I’m sad to say I’ll be throwing back to Lou.
“Lou, this is the last time we’re going to work together on Breakfast, isn’t it?
“I’m very sad but it’s been such a pleasure, such a joy working with you and I’ve learnt so much from you so thank you for that.
“Thank you for being my friend as well as being my colleague.”
Louise was left emotional as she thanked Carol for her kind words.
“Oh Carol, you are gorgeous and the good thing is that means we can go out for long lunches,” she replied.
“One of the things I’m really looking forward to, I will miss you but we will continue being friends.”
BBC Breakfast airs on BBC One daily at 6am.
