It hasn’t been less than two weeks since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and we already have a controversy at hand. However, it’s not from a source you might predict.
Following weeks of uncertainty surrounding the release of the game’s soundtrack, composer Sarah Schachner released a statement regarding her exit from the project. The 34-year-old musician cited the “challenging” working dynamic with the audio director, as the reason behind her departure. She further confirmed that she won’t be composing music anymore for Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2.
Regarding the status of the music that she did compose, Schachner noted that she is clueless about the release plans for the soundtrack, since she’s no longer part of the project. Moreover, she has also claimed that the music present in the game currently is not her artistic intent. In the end, Schachner believes that the soundtrack masters might never see the light of day.

While a controversy brews over in the music department, Modern Warfare 2 players have huge complains over current the status of the game, especially the weapons. On one hand, players have suggested that the developers at Infinity Ward might want to think about tweaking with attachments, as they have found them to be quite useless.
Additionally, a war has also been waged among controller and Keyboard and Mouse users with regards to the overpowered nature of aim assist, which seems to have benefitted the former. With the developers yet to acknowledge the larger issue at hand, it will be interesting to see if Infinity Ward has any plans to introduces new changes in the near future.
