Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline has reportedly revealed his fears that she’s been on crystal meth, sharing worries about the singer and mother of his sons overdosing. Kevin 45, and Britney, 41, were married from 2004 until around 2007, and have two children together – Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16.
The former dancer – who has custody of their two sons – has made public his worries over his ex-wife, and helped stage an intervention in February that didn’t go ahead, according to reports.
He said about his ex-wife Britney: “I fear she’s on meth – I’ve been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up. It’s terrifying. She is the mother of my boys.”
The comment was made to Daphne Barak, as reported by The Sun, and said that he had attempted to set up an intervention in attempts to “save Britney from herself”.
Britney’s sons claim they saw someone close to her bringing her objects that looked like drugs before they made the decision to stop seeing her last year, the outlet states.

Allegedly these concerns combined with what has been described as “erratic behaviour” triggered the intervention attempt by people who know her back on February 7, The Mirror reports.
Kevin is believed to have been staying with Daphne around then, and it’s reported that friends and family of Britney rented a “safe house” in Los Angeles and hired an “interventionist”.
Kevin is believed to have said to the journalist while waiting for an update: “I don’t want the boys to wake up one morning and find their mother has taken an overdose.”
Britney’s husband Sam Asghari, manager Cade Hudson and medical professional were reportedly also involved with the plan and that the interventionist was on standby.
It is said that Kevin was waiting for a text from one of Britney’s friends to say the intervention was underway, but she reportedly said “quit” instead, claiming she couldn’t do it any longer.
He is believed to have been asked to contact the interventionist directly, however it is claimed that his calls were not answered, and not long after news of the plan was “leaked”.
Spears appeared to address the speculation on social media earlier this year, saying: “It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died.”
The post was made back in February – when rumours of an intervention were swirling – and commented on it: “I mean at some point enough is enough!”
The outlet is said to have been told by another relative that they thought it was the “last chance for saving her”, expressing worry another intervention would not be possible.
In one incident before cutting contact with his mother, Jayden informed Kevin that one night he was awoken by his mother holding a knife, The Sun reports.
Jayden, who is eager for Britney to “get better”, has reportedly been refusing to answer her calls and texts since revealing through Daphne that he was no longer seeing her.
According to the article, it has been said that Preston called Britney in December around the time of her birthday and had a “good talk” with her recently.
