Bloodborne PS5 Remaster and Sequel in the Works by Bluepoint Games: Report

Bluepoint Games is apparently working on a Bloodborne PS5 remaster as well as a sequel. Colin Moriarty, who previously leaked the Demon’s Souls remake, has claimed that the remaster and sequel are in the works.

Moriarty tweeted, “I’m hearing through the grapevine Bluepoint may be on a journey to Yharnam.” The tweet suggests that Bluepoint is working on Bloodborne in some capacity. Reddit user peepmymixtape shared a screenshot from Discord where Moriarty elaborated further. Moriarty’s sources have said that Bluepoint is remastering Bloodborne for PS5 and developing a sequel from the ground-up. However, Moriarty is unsure whether this information is true and might need to check with other sources.

Bluepoint Games was recently acquired by PlayStation. During this announcement, Bluepoint had revealed that the studio is working on an original game, which could be Bloodborne 2. Bluepoint President Marco Thrush had said, “Our next project, we’re working on original content right now. We can’t talk about what that is, but that’s the next step in the evolution for us.” It remains to be seen whether the new game is part of an existing IP like Bloodborne, or something entirely new.

Bluepoint hasn’t confirmed any reports regarding Bloodborne PS5 remaster or Bloodborne 2, so this information should be taken with a grain of salt. There have been countless Bloodborne sequel rumours over the years that never led to anything. That being said, Bloodborne fans are certainly looking forward to an official announcement about the long-awaited Bloodborne 2.
