Biparjoy: Cyclone Biparjoy: Step-by-step guide for users of Apple, Samsung, OnePlus and other phones to connect to any network – Times of India

Cyclone Biparjoy has made landfall in coastal districts of Saurashtra and Kutch. To ensure minimum disruption in mobile and network connectivity, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has set up a war room at its headquarters in Delhi. The aim is to ensure that the cyclone Biparjoy does not disrupt telecom connectivity or to keep the impact minimal.
DoT has issued guidelines to telcos to open a sufficient number of public calling booths, preferably free of cost, for the general public in affected areas. They should also ensure that in the disaster affected areas, no subscriber shall be denied access to voice/SMS communication due to any commercial consideration, whatsoever, including non-payment/insufficient balance/recharge, etc. and this facility shall continue for at least 15 days.
The telecom operators, on their part, have commenced intra-circle roaming arrangements in the affected areas so as to allow subscribers to make calls and send messages utilising the network of any of the telecom firms, in line with guidelines notified by DoT. Here’s how users of Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi and others can access any network on their devices.
