Beyoncé’s upcoming album, ‘Renaissance,’ drops July 29. The Twitterverse has gone berserk

No, that wasn’t a dream.

Late last night, Beyoncé Knowles descended from her throne to announce that she will be releasing a brand new solo album next month.

According to her website and her Twitter bio, the 40-year-old superstar will be releasing her seventh LP, titled “Renaissance,” on July 29. The album appears to be subtitled “act i.”

“Renaissance” will be Beyoncé’s first solo album since the groundbreaking “Lemonade” was released in 2016. She released “Everything Is Love,” a collaborative album with her husband Jay-Z in 2018, and “The Lion King: The Gift” movie soundtrack in 2019. That year, she also released “Homecoming,” a live album and concert film from her headlining Coachella set in 2018.

Predictably, the announcement set the Internet on fire.

In typical Beyoncé fashion, there are very few details about the upcoming album so far. However, the prolific fan account “BEYONCÉ LEGION” suggests that the album will contain 16 tracks.

On Beyoncé’s website, fans can purchase a deluxe box set for $39.99 (U.S.) that includes a T-shirt, a CD, and a mysterious “Collectivble Renaissance Box.”

Here’s how fans are reacting to the return of Queen Bey.
