In sixth place was the William Beardmore & Co, located in Glasgow Airport, Scotland.
Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman Tim Martin commented: “Wetherspoon airport pubs try to achieve the same goals as our city, town and suburban pubs throughout the land. We always try to build ‘pubs with soul’, even in airports, through characterful and individual pub design.
“A music-free environment, a good selection of real ales, coffee and food available all day from opening time and, hopefully, long-serving and experienced staff.
“The airport pubs are much busier than average, and are open for longer hours, but the aim is the same. Everyone at Wetherspoon is so pleased that our airport pubs, thanks to their amazing teams, are so popular.”
