Back from Harvard, School leader to enlighten Punjab youth with enterprenural skills – Times of India
Amritsar: Exhorting the need of creating an entrepreneurial forum in Punjab and to encourage more ideas and give a stepping stone to the youth of the state so that they become leaders and innovators in whatever they choose to do, school leader Sahiljit Singh Sandhu opined that such efforts would help generate revenues of the state and keep the youth involved in more productive endeavours.
Chairman, Spring Dale Senior School Sahil is in US where he completed an intensive one week course at Harvard Business School located in Cambridge, Massachusets. The course was tailor-made for the Entrepreneurial Organization .
Sahil who was EO, Punjab chapter member told over phone from the US “I feel very strongly about creating more opportunities for the youth of Punjab to become entrepreneurs themselves for their own personal and professional development but more importantly for creating an entrepreneurial culture in Punjab rising above family business and conventional business ideas” .
Earlier Sahil was selected by Harvard University and had completed a multi module leadership training course titled ‘Essential Management Sills for Emerging Leaders. He was one among the 40 industry professionals from around the world and the only one from India .
“The course helped to learn about the strategy and innovation to drive growth and implement the same here”said Sahil.
He said the essential aspects of business enterprises such as strategic positioning, designing entrepreneurial strategy and scaling up enterprises can help to make the youth successful entrepreneur adding that when back in Punjab he would strategies and further impart these best business practices among the young businessmen.
About his recent course at Harvard, he said he was part of a like-minded and enthusiastic group of 97 entrepreneurs from across the globe who lived together in learning groups and worked on the famous Case Study approach of problem-solving that the Harvard Business School is a pioneer in.
