Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Season Pass Offers 2 Story Expansions, Including a New Region

The upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora may not be quite as live-service-focused as some other Ubisoft titles, but make no mistake, the game will still offer the expected season pass and today we got the first details on what it will include. The main focus of the season pass are two new story expansions, “The Sky Breaker,” which arrives in the summer of 2024, and “Secrets of the Spires,” which drops in fall of 2024. The first of these updates will feature a new “festival of games” to participate in and a new RDA threat, while the second will introduce an all-new rocky canyon region to explore. You can check out a trailer for the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Season Pass, below.

Here are Ubisoft’s official descriptions of the Avatar season pass content…

  • Bonus Quest: Familiar Echoes (Launch) – Infiltrate a highly secured RDA military base and hack their classified data to sabotage them from the inside.
  • Story Pack #1: The Sky Breaker (Summer 2024) – A mysterious shadow looms in the sky, threatening the Na’vi clans below who are celebrating at their great festival of games. Face the RDA and protect the unity of the clans.
  • Story Pack #2: Secrets Of The Spires (Fall 2024) – Engage in epic aerial combat on your banshee to uncover the secrets of this new canyon region and restore the peace before it’s too late! Coming Fall 2024.

The Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Season Pass is available as part of the game’s $110 Gold Edition or its $130 Ultimate Edition. No word on an a la carte price tag just yet, but it will likely cost $40.

Haven’t been keeping up with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? I was impressed by some aspects of the game based on my hands-on time, but still have questions about others…

“During my hands-on time, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora soared to some lofty heights, although it didn’t always manage to stay in the clouds. The scope of the game’s world is impressive, but the fine details don’t always hold up to closer scrutiny. Exploration, platforming, and flying are fun and exhilarating, but anything involving combat is somewhat worrisome. […] I’m still keen to further explore the Western Frontier and find out if this is the true-blue Avatar adventure the franchise has always felt like it deserved.”

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora soars onto PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 on December 7.
