Aussies boosted by Hazlewood Ashes update
Josh Hazlewood’s Ashes campaign will not be interrupted by injury this summer, despite the Aussie paceman being sidelined through the early part of the IPL.
That’s the word according to Hazlewood’s adviser Neil Maxwell, who moved to ease fears that Hazlewood would be sidelined in England later this year.
The 32-year-old has not played a game since the New Year’s Test in January against South Africa as he looks to overcome a nagging Achilles issue.

He travelled to India with the rest of Australia’s Test squad before being sent home early to continue his rehabilitation.
”Josh is ready to go,” Maxwell told the Herald and The Age.
“His late start in the IPL won’t impact his Ashes preparation.
“It’s all part of the plan. There’s a lot of cricket coming up.”
When Hazlewood does join the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, he’ll link up with Aussie teammate Glenn Maxwell, who is still building up his own fitness after a lengthy layoff with a broken leg.
Australia’s next red ball assignment will be the World Test Championship final against India from June 7-11 before the Ashes kicks off on June 16.
