Arsenal head into transfer deadline day with several deals still on the cards. It could be a busy day at the Emirates today, with Mikel Arteta eyeing a striker and a midfielder.
The Gunners missed out on top target Dusan Vlahovic following his £66.6million move to Juventus. It has left Edu and Arteta exploring other options, with the likes of Alexander Isak being linked.
The Real Sociedad man will reportedly need some convincing to make a midseason move to Arsenal but there is still a slim chance a deal could be done today.
Juventus’ Alvaro Morata is also on their shortlist with Arteta’s assistant putting in a call to him over the weekend in a bid to seal a deal for the striker under the noses of Barcelona, who also have expressed an interest in him.
Morata could be one of two Juventus players that make the switch to Arsenal today with a loan move for Arthur Melo not completely dead in the water. Arsenal have run into several problems in trying to sign Arthur with the two clubs failing to meet on a number of key loan clauses, though the Gunners could be forced into compromising if they want to land him today.

In terms of departures, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the biggest name who could be about to leave the club. He has been made surplus to requirement following his disciplinary breach last month and is in talks to sign with Barcelona.
Arsenal, however, are struggling to land his replacement, which could spell an end to Aubameyang’s Barcelona move.
Fellow striker Eddie Nketiah could also depart the club, with Newcastle eyeing a £10m deal.
