But before their flight, all players in the 29-man squad posed for a picture on the airport runway.

New signings Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice were all included, but it was Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba and Fabio Viera who attracted the attention of fans.

While the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft walked down some stairs to greet Mikel Arteta, Saliba was quick to strike a pose with his hands behind his back and his chest puffed out.

The Frenchman then prompted Vieira to do the same, but some Arsenal fans joked that the midfielder appeared “confused”.

One person tweeted: “Fabio was kinda confused.”

Another added: “Saliba tapping Viera and Viera puffing his chest out is killing me!”

While a third wrote: “Saliba is confusing Veira!”

Ramsdale also caught fans’ attention after he appeared to salute the pilot.

One Arsenal fan added: “I don’t know who the funniest is: Ramsdale or Saliba?”

While another said: “The vibes right now are immaculate.”

Arsenal are set to face a team of MLS All-Stars, as well as Manchester United and Barcelona during their pre-season tour of the US.
